Event Space Video Tour

Great Hall

As our grandest and most flexible space, the stunning 8,100 square foot Great Hall features vaulted ceilings, stone accents  and natural light. It is the ideal venue for corporate meetings, lectures, presentations, trade shows, receptions, galas, fundraisers and more. Included in the room rental are basic WiFi, basic Audio Visual such as:  house sound, (1) microphone, a drop-down screen and black-out shades as well as tables, chairs, linen and optional staging and dance floor. Additional Services are available upon request at an additional cost. Customers renting the Great Hall have access to the Atrium as additional Pre-function area. As a reference, in this space customers can host seated dinners for 500 guests or theater-style symposiums for up to 800 guests. Rental ranging from $1,000 – $3,500.

Theater

Our remarkable 315-seat, auditorium style theater is an outstanding space that can be used in many unique ways. Boasting a mammoth, 60-by-45 foot screen, DTS digital surround sound and RealD 3D Technology, our CU South Denver Theater is the perfect venue for large business meetings, conferences, group presentations, lectures or symposia. Included with your rental is the use of the theater lobby as an additional pre-function area. Arrangements can be made to open our existing concession stand for your guests to enjoy their favorite theater treats and refreshments. The Theater is available all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and evenings from 4 p.m. – 11 p.m. Rental ranging from $1,500 – $5,000.

Courtyard

Beautiful architecture, native landscaping and inspiring sculpture converge around the museum’s courtyard, offering a beautiful setting for your event. Imagine your reception set against a cascading water feature, wildflowers and quaking aspen trees. The Courtyard provides a Colorado mountain atmosphere, located right here in the South Denver metro area! The Courtyard and fountain space are available for various reception style events. Rental starting at $750.

Veranda

A tranquil covered outdoor living space, the Veranda is set off from the Courtyard, giving your event an exclusive and private atmosphere. Set amidst a beautifully landscaped sculpture garden, the Veranda is an ideal space for outdoor events while providing shelter from the elements. Fitting for groups of 120–200, the Veranda is the ideal venue for company picnics, family reunions, cocktail hours and receptions. Rental starting at $750.

Mezzanine

Overlooking our main exhibit, Globeology, the Mezzanine offers a unique location to host an event with a museum backdrop. This airy, yet private, space is ideal for smaller gatherings of 80-100 people. Because of its location, your guests have direct access to our exhibit, taking your guests through a journey of the 7 biomes of the world. We recommend the Mezzanine for smaller banquets and receptions. The Mezzanine is available from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., including access to Globeology. Rental starting at $750.

Classrooms

Our classrooms feature state-of-the-art audio visual equipment (some include distance learning technology), ergonomic furniture WiFi and natural light. Our classrooms are ideal for budget planning, brainstorming, committee and sales meetings. Classroom availability is based on university class schedule. The classrooms are available at $65 per hour, with a four-hour minimum.
