WHAT DOES THE ADVISORY BOARD DO?

The CU South Denver Advisory Board is comprised of top level human resource, external relations, sales and marketing leaders and additional key stakeholders in the region. The Advisory Board’s purpose is to identify talent development needs and inform strategy for bringing in relevant content from across the CU campuses to meet workforce needs in the South Denver area. CU South Denver views the Advisory Board members as partners in building corporate and community relationships.

Almendra leads global talent marketing and employee communications for TeleTech, with oversight of the company’s event management, social strategy, employee communications, digital communications and talent acquisition. Almendra holds an MBA from the University of Colorado Denver and a B.A. in accounting/finance from the Tecnológico de Monterrey.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Sciences from Pepperdine University and a Master of Business Administration from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

He has held several business leadership roles in the private sector within large multi-national corporations and with education technology start-ups.

Luella Chavez D’Angelo

Vice President, Marketing & Communications, Centura Health

Chavez D’Angelo leads the marketing and communications efforts of Centura Health, the largest health care ecosystem across Colorado and western Kansas. Previously, she was CU South Denver’s vice chancellor, enterprise development. Chavez D’Angelo holds an MBA and a BBA in marketing management from the University of New Mexico.
