Luella Chavez D’Angelo, Vice Chancellor for Enterprise Development

Chavez D’Angelo leads the extraordinary CU South Denver enterprise, working to maximize its full potential and impact as a unique and innovative education delivery model and valued asset of the CU system. This includes the management of its people, partnerships, promotions and academic programs from all four CU campuses, as well as a museum, K-12 education, community programs and event hosting and venue rental. In addition, she serves as a resource to build collaborations with the Denver, Anschutz, Boulder and Colorado Springs campus academic staff and offerings in enhancing the university’s approach and strategy with corporate and foundation partners. Joann Brennan, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

Brennan provides oversight and leadership to CU South Denver, and ensures the delivery of high-quality academic programming. Working with deans, faculty and academic leaders on all four CU campuses, her efforts focus on building outstanding programs, initiating and enhancing academic collaborations, ensuring strategic enrollment growth and meeting the needs of faculty teaching at CU South Denver. She participates in building relationships and creating mutually beneficial opportunities between local businesses, the community and CU academic programming. Brennan also serves as the associate dean of CU Denver’s College of Arts & Media.

Maureen Durkin, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Strategy & Organizational Effectiveness

Durkin serves as the chief of staff for the Vice Chancellor, overseeing human resources and a variety of organization-wide and strategic priorities for CU South Denver, including the most recent strategic planning process. In addition, she manages executive and internal communications, assists with data and reporting and industry and community relations. She also oversees CU South Denver customer operations including Welcome Desk, Gift Shop and Theater staff. Her twenty-year career in higher education has included time in career services, events planning, project management, legislative analysis, policy development and communications, marketing and communications, alumni and constituent outreach and development of strategic partnerships on behalf of organizations and leaders.

Jennifer Park, Director of Marketing & Sales

Park serves as the principal marketing and customer development officer for CU South Denver, dedicated to building the CU South Denver brand, program enrollments and consumer base.  She oversees all aspects of marketing and sales including: brand strategy and development, advertising, promotion, collateral, lead generation and prospecting, enrollment marketing, market research, media and public relations, meetings & events sales, PR, social and web presence, communications and sponsorships. Park has twelve years experience in the higher education sector, as well as an extensive background in advertising agencies, start-ups and major corporations building reputations and driving sales for a multitude of top brands.

Richard (Rick) Sheehan, Director of Finance and Administration

Sheehan manages the Finance and Administration Department. This is a senior level position participating in strategic and operational activities. He is responsible for all financial functions including budget and financial reporting of the general fund and auxiliary business activities. In addition, he oversees the Information Technology and Facilities Departments. He represents CU South Denver on all related financial matters throughout the university system.
