Since 1876 the University of Colorado has educated citizens and developed leaders. As the newest addition to this proud legacy, the University of Colorado South Denver is leading the way in offering market responsive educational programming  to propel leaders and advance careers. We strive to be the innovative collaborator of choice for business, industries and community leaders to develop talent for workforce success

Designed for the community, CU South Denver enriches the lives and minds of ambitious achievers through applied learning experiences, educational activities and high-quality curriculum. CU South Denver is the University of Colorado’s only location providing programming and expertise from three CU campuses (Anschutz Medical Campus, Boulder, and Denver.)

CU South Denver’s facility includes technology-equipped classrooms, an art and natural history museum, event rental spaces and a world-class catering department.

The University of Colorado South Denver is situated in a growing and lucrative geography in the southern part of the Denver metropolitan region. This region is home to 7 of the 10 Fortune 500 companies located in Colorado, and generates 30% of the state’s annual GDP. It is the fastest growing part of Colorado and employs more than 200,000 people. Millennials are saying that they want to live, work and recreate along a light rail line. As the light rail extends further into Lone Tree, we know the workforce of this region will continue to grow.

And we are here to meet their needs.

About the gift

In January 2015, The Wildlife Experience was donated to the University of Colorado by Dave Liniger, chairman emeritus of The Wildlife Experience and co-founder of REMAX International, Inc., and his wife, Gail Liniger, and their family.

The generous gift of the building and property — valued at $40 million — is the largest real estate donation in the university’s 138-year history. The gift allowed CU to expand its South Denver presence that began when The Wildlife Experience and the University first collaborated by leasing space in April 2014. The gift of the entire building and operations allows for more services, more convenience and more value to be delivered to south Denver residents, employers and area professionals.

The museum operates as part of CU South Denver at the same location starting January 2015. Serving as a cultural center and community asset.
