Can we bring our own lunches into the museum?

We do have a café to purchase lunches, but you are welcome to bring your own lunches. To preorder box lunches or snacks, call 720-488-3359 at least 48 hours in advance. Please remember food and drinks are not allowed in our exhibits.

Do you have a place to keep our lunches?

We have a coat closet where you can store your sack lunches, but we ask that you bring a tub or box to hold your lunches. We do not have lockers.

Where can we eat our lunches?

We offer a mezzanine overlooking our permanent exhibit, Globeology. You may sit on the floor. We will provide trash receptacles for clean-up. We also offer limited seating at picnic tables outside and a grassy hill for children to sit on. You do have an option of eating in the Movie Theater during the movie or in the lobby area of the theater. We ask that you do not eat lunch in our café unless you have purchased food in the café.

Are there special discounts or scholarships for schools?

With a reservation, schools, groups and home-school groups bringing a minimum of 10 people receive special pricing for admission and movies. We do periodically receive money for scholarships. For information, call 303-315-9431 or email museumeducation@ucdenver.edu

When are school and youth group field trips offered?

Field trips may be scheduled year-round. Due to capacity limits, your requested field trip date(s) and/or programs may be sold out.

How will I know our field trip is scheduled?

We will email you a reservation confirmation. If you have booked a school program, a museum educator will contact you with important information closer to the date of your reservation. Please read and use these materials to prepare your group effectively. If you do not receive a confirmation, call 303-315-9446 or email kari.ploysa@ucdenver.edu.

What if I must change or cancel a reservation?

Call 303-315-9446 or email kari.ploysa@ucdenver.edu and include necessary changes and contact information. Please understand that we may be unable to accommodate changes.

When and how do I pay?

Payment is due upon arrival and check-in at the museum. Final cost depends on the number in your group upon arrival. Please submit one payment for the entire group. Cash, checks payable to CU South Denver or Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express accepted.

Why is a reservation necessary?

To ensure a quality experience for all our visitors, the museum has a daily group capacity and the theater has a capacity per time slot. Your reservation ensures your group has access to the museum. The school rate and programs are only available with advance registration.
