Thinking about a career in education? This course is being offered to undergraduate students who want to become teachers.

Social Foundations of Cultural Diversity in Urban Education​​ is a core course for our bachelor’s in Education and Human Development. This degree offers teacher licensure concentrations in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Special Education. There are no prerequisites required.

This course focuses on the connections between society, communities and schools. You will learn about the strengths in diverse communities and challenge deficit perspectives and stereotypes as a foundation for creating supportive education. The course instructor is rated very high by students at CU Denver.
