Located to the right, inside the main entrance of the building, the Student Services Coordinator is available at the CU Desk to answer questions and provide information about topics like financial aid, billing, course offerings, course registration, academic services, facilities and IT services.
The CU Desk is open daily Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., and additionally is open 30 minutes before the first class and stays open 30 minutes after the last class in the evenings. When there are Saturday classes, the desk is open from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. If you have questions, call 303-315-9406 or stop by when you are in the building.
Writing Tutoring and Services
One-on-one and small-group assistance to help students improve their writing skills is available to all CU students. Consultants trained across genres offer help with business writing, scientific writing, research essays, literature reviews, resumes and more.
The Writing Center at CU South Denver is located on the second floor in the Student Commons. Consultants are on-site Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. To make an appointment for CU South Denver, select South Denver from the dropdown menu of our online scheduler.
Please note, that while CU Denver provides this service, it is available to all CU students attending classes at CU South Denver.
Computers and Printers
When not scheduled for class use, the computers and the printers in the computer lab (N202 on the second floor) are available for student and faculty use (see schedule posted outside of room). Instructions for printing are posted near each printer. There is dedicated printer for each CU campus.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Access the Internet by clicking on “CU South Denver Guest” in your device’s Wi-Fi settings.
Charge devices at the high-top study table in the hallway near the classrooms on the second floor. Devices should not be left unattended when charging.
Student Commons and Study Areas
There is a spacious lounge and study area on the second floor of the building with comfortable seating, tables, chairs, vending machines and two private study rooms available for use.
On the lower level (basement), there is a shared student and faculty lounge with seating. Refrigerators and microwave ovens are available for use.
Lockers are available to students and faculty who need to store belongings during the day. To reserve a locker, visit the CU Desk or call 303-315-9406.
The Café is located on the first floor of the building and is open daily with a full menu of options. Vending machines are also located on the second floor of the building.
NOTE: Vending machines have been temporarily removed during building renovation projects.
Security personnel are in the building each day and ensure that all CU faculty and students have exited the building after the last class ends. If a security escort to the parking lot is needed, call 303-315-9454.
Parking is available anywhere within the provided parking lots south of the building and is free of charge. For more details, visit our Location page.
