Luella Chavez D’Angelo, Vice Chancellor for Enterprise Development
Chavez D’Angelo leads the extraordinary CU South Denver enterprise, working to maximize its full potential and impact as a unique and innovative education delivery model and valued asset of the CU system. This includes the management of its people, partnerships, promotions and academic programs from all four CU campuses, as well as a museum, K-12 education, community programs and event hosting and venue rental. In addition, she serves as a resource to build collaborations with the Denver, Anschutz, Boulder and Colorado Springs campus academic staff and offerings in enhancing the university’s approach and strategy with corporate and foundation partners. Joann Brennan, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
Brennan provides oversight and leadership to CU South Denver, and ensures the delivery of high-quality academic programming. Working with deans, faculty and academic leaders on all four CU campuses, her efforts focus on building outstanding programs, initiating and enhancing academic collaborations, ensuring strategic enrollment growth and meeting the needs of faculty teaching at CU South Denver. She participates in building relationships and creating mutually beneficial opportunities between local businesses, the community and CU academic programming. Brennan also serves as the associate dean of CU Denver’s College of Arts & Media.
Maureen Durkin, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Program Operations
Durkin oversees academic program operations at CU South Denver. She is responsible for coordination and scheduling for all four CU campuses at CU South Denver as well as support services to faculty, staff and students utilizing the facility. She is tasked with increasing enrollment at CU South Denver and coordinating strategies to market the academic functions. In addition, she assists the CU South Denver leadership in developing relationships across the CU campuses and within the business community to grow enrollments and develop academic and other offerings. She seeks to provide a user-friendly, customer-service oriented experience for all academic and business community partners.
Samantha Moreno, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Business Operations
Moreno provides oversight and leadership to The Wildlife Experience museum, K-12 education, community programs, and event hosting and space rental. Working with all CU campuses, local school districts and community members, her efforts focus on serving the community through school, adult and family programming at the museum and in K-12 education outreach. Additionally, she promotes community events hosted at CU South Denver.
Yvette Adѐle, Museum Manager
Adѐle manages The Wildlife Experience natural history museum and wildlife art gallery. She is responsible for the development, maintenance and management of CU South Denver collections, acquisitions, art loans and exhibit spaces. In addition, Adѐle manages the Gift Shop and Bookstore, and oversees the museum’s volunteer program.
Greg Horgan, Events & Catering Manager
Horgan facilitates and manages all events to ensure they are consistent, properly outfitted, clean, maintained and safe. He oversees all catering, sales and event coordination staff and guest event inquiries.
Amy Newman, Museum Education Manager
Newman oversees the education department of the museum, including PK-12 programs, educational family events and activities, outdoor workshops and public programs. She holds a master’s in Museum Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder and specializes in creating partnerships for engaging educational experiences for all ages.
Kyla White, Marketing Coordinator
White manages and executes all marketing and communication collateral and activities. She collaborates with business services, academic programs and community and business outreach to ensure awareness of the facility and engagement in its services and programs.
Paul Wood, Student Services Coordinator
Wood manages the CU Desk and oversees the classrooms, student commons, study spaces and faculty lounge. He is the front-line resource for students, faculty and community members. He helps answer questions about the facility, class schedules and connects students to home-campus resources when needed.
